What metadata does my PDF contain by default?

Most PDFs include your name, your computer’s username, software signatures, creation and modification timestamps, and sometimes file paths. Some include camera information, edit history, and custom fields added by the source application.

Will cleaning metadata change how my PDF looks?

No. Metadata cleaning only affects hidden information fields. The visible content, formatting, fonts, images, and structure of your PDF remain completely unchanged.
